Hobbies learnt in values
June 29th, 2010
A hobby is something that can be taught, or learnt. A lot of the make up which makes us ‘us’, comes from learnt values and norms from society and people. The main people who teach us these values are our parents, friends and colleagues. From a young age, we may learn our first few hobbies. For example, a father may have a keen interest in fishing, and in return, brings out his child/children to go fishing with him, not only for company, but to see if they may also have an interest in the sport. We also learn hobbies on our own.
